Grace

Our two year and 7 month old is quickly turning from toddler to "big girl!" Her latest accomplishments: speaking in sentences (but still with a lisp), eating everything in sight, sleeping in the bottom bunk in the same room as her sister, singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," the "ABC" song, and "Itsy, Bitsy, Spider," playing (kind of) nicely with other kids, bullying her way around until she gets her way (she weighs 32 pounds, so it's not too hard!), and many other things.

Grace took swimming lessons at the gym I go to, and she made a lot of progress! She jumps in and holds her breath. She knows how to do the strokes and kick her legs, but she is far from "pool safe." Hopefully she'll take after her sister and be swimming by the end of the summer.

She loved her teacher "Carissa." Her name was actually Marissa.

The biggest news, though, is that she is potty trained (for the most part!). She decided it was time, so we have been working on it since Sunday. We've had minimal accidents so far. Her reward is a gumball, and she never forgets! Grace has been much easier to train than her sister, and now I feel like I can heave a sigh of relief and enjoy the rest of the summer.
