Brooke planted our annual garden about a month ago in our side yard. She does tomatoes, basil and onions. I don't do any work for this garden, but I do get to enjoy the results! I was making Manicotti on Sunday and realized my onion had spoiled, so I sent Lily out to the garden to see if there were any onions ready....look at the harvest! The onion is taller than she is!
Tomorrow we're leaving in our trailer to Newport Beach. Looking forward to some bike riding, shopping (for Julie), golf (for Charlie), playing in the sand and in the pool (for Lily) and just hanging out (for Grace). And of course, we can't wait to have some fresh fish! We're taking advantage of the end of our carefree schedule because Lily will start school next August. Our spontaneous vacations will be coming to a screeching halt.
