Fun away

People who read this blog must think we are on perpetual vacation. We do get to go away quite a bit, and for that I am thankful! I love where we live, but it all hinges on "getting out" on a regular basis. My best friend (I hate that term....sounds so High School, but that is what she is!) Kim and I hatched a great plan about a month ago so that our husbands would let us get together. We would take the older kids with us and meet in Anaheim to go to Disneyland. It was really an excuse for us to get together, talk and drink wine. Disneyland was done during the day during "non wine drinking" hours! :)

We rode the tea cups, and Lily proclaimed half way during the ride that "We need Daddies for this ride!" Kim and I were a bit offended.

Doesn't everyone have a picture of their kid(s) in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle?

They could have done this all night, but I have another picture of them, about 10 minutes later, fast asleep, cuddled up in bed.

We went to Disneyland on Thursday and California Adventure on Friday. Some favorite moments: Pirates of the Carribean, spoiling the kids with toys, pushing elevator buttons, swimming at 8 AM in the hotel pool, wine on the balcony, getting drenched on Grizzly River Run, beautiful warm weather (Denver, where Kim is from, received 6 inches of snow while we were at Disneyland!), In N Out Burger, Myles's first roller coaster ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, pushing and shoving (Lily and Myles, not Kim and me), riding the rock (Matterhorn), shooting Zurg and all the targets on the Toy Story rides, and so much more! Myles wants to do this trip every year until he's 20, and I would have to concur. If we can only get the daddies to agree.....

Sounds like a lot of fun! I've always meant to tell you -- I love your family verse; it's kind of our family's verse too... I had it made into a big poster (jabezposters.com) and had it framed. You sure pray you CAN instill that mindset into your children's hearts.
