9 Months today!

Grace is nine months old today, and, at the risk of sounding cliche, she brings so much joy to our lives. As you can see from the picture, she's a very happy baby. In some ways, she is a lot like Lily was at this age, but she's also her own personality too. She's very opinionated, and is very good at going "Aahhh, Aahhh," very loudly until we figure out what she wants. She can climb up and go down stairs (We only have two, but it's still an accomplishment). She crawls all over very quickly and pulls herself up on all the furniture. She'll walk along the furniture, too. She'll pull Lily's hair if Lily gets too close. She loves to sit at the slider door and watch the cats in the backyard. Grace will giggle a deep belly laugh if we "zerbert" her tummy. If you blow air on her face, she'll shut her eyes into slits and give us a big smile. She hangs on to the front of the jogger as I run down the road and watches all that goes by, and when she gets tired, she'll tuck her little face into the side of the stroller and go to sleep. When we're ready to give her a bath at night, we can't show her the bath until she's ready to get in it, or she'll practically leap out of your arms into the tub. She's starting to shake her head when I say no, and we're working on "So Big" and waving bye-bye. Lily has found out that Grace's 4 little teeth are very sharp, as Grace has taken to biting whatever is in front of her, including Lily's arms and legs. Grace can sit and play with her toys for a very long time, unless something or someone distracts her. She hates being confined (exersaucer or johnny jump up), so she pretty much has the run of the house. She's starting to eat table food. This week we tried meat and peaches, and she's always been a great eater. There isn't too much that she'll refuse, and that is evident by the rolls on her legs.

We love you so much, Grace Charlotte, and we can't wait to see the little personality that will come out as you continue to grow up!
