Lily loves to have her toe nails and finger nails painted. The other day, my mom asked her what the bruise was on her big toe. She told her it was "pale nosh" (nail polish). Lily can't figure out why I can't get that pale nosh off her toe, and we don't know how she got the bruise. Anyway, we are deep in the middle of "lady hood" here as she is starting to have an opinion about the clothes and shoes she wears, and she's getting into hair and make up. (I can say she comes by it honestly, as I am somewhat promoting it. I am probably creating a monster!) Usually, about once a day, she asks me if I am happy to have two girls. I always reassure her that I am very happy to have two girls, and I really am! Hopefully, we'll have lots of fun in the coming years, but I am not naive enough to know that there will be many power struggles. With the good Lord's guidance, advice from other wise women who have experience raising girls, and a lot of prayer, I hope to raise two loving, compassionate, strong and contributing women. We'll see.... And, a little bit of pale nosh along the way to help them feel beautiful never hurts!
