We celebrated M's 12th birthday, but had a bit of a snafu while trying to find a restaurant to eat dinner. Sorry about the 2 hour circle tour of San Diego, M! We hope you had a happy birthday, anyway, and we wish you so many blessings as you enter your teen years!
Lily LOVED the three waterslides ("One little one and two big ones!") at the pool. She was a big shot and could go on the big one (That's her on the right, coming down feet first.), which she couldn't do in Hawaii.
The kids (and adults) enjoyed a few hours at Belmont Park. Here's a picture of the kids riding The Vertical. Lily was a little upset that she couldn't go on the Giant Dipper, but she got over it when her cousins went on this ride with her. We also ate pizza at Luigi's At the Beach.
We enjoyed riding our bikes again this trip. We left Charlie in San Diego on the Kruse'n Perfection fishing boat with a few friends. We're hoping he comes home with a great catch for us to eat tomorrow night for dinner. Lily and I made the drive home by ourselves and stopped at Trader Joe's (Why can't they build a store in Visalia?!) and North County Fair Mall on the way home. We didn't feel the 5.4 earthquake centered in Chino Hills, (I was too busy dumping my favorite products in my Trader Joe's basket!) but we heard lots about it on XM Radio. I really enjoyed having Lily to myself all day long, and she was a trooper.
