First Academic Milestone

The year has flown by, and as I am writing this, Lily is enjoying the last day of preschool. She was excited to leave home as a preschooler and return as a Kindergartener. Her academic career has begun!

Lily and her classmates are singing their hearts out. The program was super, and we enjoyed watching her and her friends performing.

Miss Monica, one of her teachers, is giving Lily her "diploma." Lily loved her teachers this year!

Afterwards, we enjoyed cake and ice cream in our back yard with friends and family. The kids swam, the adults visited, and a great time was had. Now, it's on to summer, swimming, the beach, the trailer, the garden, the lake, BBQs, suntans, and fun times!

As I was driving Lily to school this morning, there was a different feel in the air. You could tell this was the last day of school, and I so remember that feeling, as a former teacher! I am looking at it from a different perspective this time, and life has come full circle! There were many firsts this year that I was looking forward to experiencing, and there are so many more to come! I have to say, I am enjoying the parent angle a lot!
