Summer time has descended upon the Valley, but I am one that is not sad about it. Yes, the 100 degree days do get to me every once in awhile, but I have an air conditioned home and a beautiful pool. I can't complain at all! I bought a slip and slide for the girls, and they love it! Last Saturday afternoon they played in the yard for over 2 hours. Below, Lily is wearing a bathing suit that we bought for her at our annual School Sale. She spied that suit, along with the Ariel doll and beach towel that went with it, at the silent auction, and she would not leave those items until she was sure they were hers! That girl is not short in the determination department.
Here's a little sister love....they don't do this too often. Usually one is hitting or pushing the other, trying to jockey for position or toys.Very cute picture of Kevin and Sohpia....enough said! When the girls are outside playing, Kevin and Brooke usually join us in the late afternoon. We end up sitting on the driveway, have some beverages and eventually bring out the BBQ and cook up some dinner. Those are some of my favorite evenings. I remember when my parents did the same thing with Dori and I when we lived on Fig Street in Chino.
And, Grace's hair is getting longer! The back has grown but the front hasn't. She has a little mullet going on! I keep trying to put in cute clips or ponies. She doesn't like them and pulls them out about as fast as I can put them in! She did leave these ponies in for a picture, but you can see her hand poised to pull them out, along with that mischevious, crooked smile.
Lily graduates from preschool tonight! We are excited for her in reaching one of the first major academic milestones in her life. (Though, really, would they not let you graduate from preschool??? :) Stay tuned for some pictures of that event in the next few days.....
